Premium smartphone maker HTC is set to launch its 5G smartphone this year. CEO Yves Maitre said in an interview to the Chinese website UDN that in 2020 the company will launch its first 5G smartphone. Let me tell you that two 5G enabled smartphones Realme X50 Pro and iQOO 3 have been launched in the Indian market recently. There has been a lot of change in the smartphone market in the last two years. Since the introduction of 5G services in South Korea, China, the USA and several European countries in 2019, many OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) are focusing on 5G smartphones this year.
Apart from HTC, premium smartphone maker companies like Sony, Apple can also launch their 5G smartphones this year. Taiwanese company HTC made a comeback to the Indian market last year after a long time with the HTC Wildfire X. This smartphone was launched in the budget range. At the same time, the company has launched its Desire flagship smartphone in markets other than India.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor can be used in HTC’s 5G smartphone to be launched this year. The phone is set to make a comeback in the smartphone market once again through this premium smartphone. Smartphone companies like HTC, BlackBerry, Nokia had come to dominate in the last decade due to Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO, OnePlus coming on the market. However, these smartphone maker companies have decided to make a comeback once again. In such a situation, other companies can get a challenge from these old players.
Apart from HTC smartphones, many wearable devices will also be launched this year. HTC VIVE Cosmos Elite, HTC VIVE Cosmos Play, HTC VIVE Cosmos XR and HTC VIVE Sync could be launched next month. It can be presented at the Game Developers Conference 2020.
