The OPPO Reno flagship series was introduced this year. This series was presented as the company’s premium flagship series. The special thing of this series is that it has a better camera and design as well as better performance. Last month, the company launched three smartphones OPPO Reno2, OPPO Reno2 Z and OPPO Reno2 F, the next models of this series. After using the base model OPPO Reno2 of this series for the last 20 days, I have brought this review for you.
OPPO Reno2: Design
Talking about the look and design of OPPO Reno2, its design has been given a very premium like the OPPO Reno2 Z. As soon as you take the phone in hand, you will realize that it is a flagship smartphone. In the front panel of the phone, you get to see the near bezel lace design. According to the company’s claims, in this, you get a screen-to-body ratio of over 93 percent. Because of this, you will be able to stream online content better on this smartphone. The OPPO Reno2 also has Twilight Mist finishing in the front and back.
This smartphone comes in two color options Luminous Black and Ocean Blue. Its back panel gives a very shining look, even if fingerprints sit on its back panel, you can easily clean it. I will recommend that you keep the cover that comes with the phone so that you do not have to clean the device again and again. The front and back panels of the phone are protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Talking about the front panel of OPPO Reno2, there is no notch in its front panel. In this, the company has used a Shark Fin pop-up selfie camera like OPPO Reno. The power button is given on the right side of the phone. You can also use this power button to lock the screen. The SIM card slot is provided just above the power button, with volume rocks on the left side of the phone. Two 4G SIM cards and an external memory card can be installed in the phone.
OPPO Reno2: display
OPPO Reno2 has a 6.5-inch AMOLED panoramic display. The screen resolution of the phone’s display is 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, which supports 401ppi. In this, you get 16 million color reflections. It has a brightness of 430nits while watching a video, which gives you a better viewing experience. This is a great smartphone in this range for watching full-screen videos.
OPPO Reno2: Performance
OPPO Reno2 also proves to be a better device in terms of performance. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. That is, you can take the experience of high graphics gaming and multi-tasking in it. I had no problem playing high graphics games like PUBG, Apex Legend on the phone. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G octa-core processor has been used on the phone.
Talking about the battery, a 4,000mAh battery has been given to power it, which has become common for high end smartphones. The phone’s battery lasts easily for 1 day despite multi tasking. At the same time, if you use less or less in standby mode then 2 days is lost. The phone has VOOC 3.0 charging support. Talking about the operating system, ColorOS 6.1 OS based on Android 9 Pie has been given in it.
OPPO Reno2: camera
Finally, we talk about the camera of Reno 2, the quad-camera is set up in its back. All the cameras around the phone are vertically aligned. Under the camera, you are given the logo of OPPO with ‘Designed for Reno’. Talking about the configuration of the phone’s camera, it has four cameras of 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels. The front of the phone has a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera. The OPPO Reno Series is primarily known for camera features. In this case, let’s know how the camera of this smartphone is.
Like most smartphones launched this year, it also has a 48-megapixel main camera. Its main camera has an aperture of f1.7 which can click up to 20x digital zoom. In its main camera, you are given modes like Night Mode, Panorama Mode, Expert or Pro Mode, Time Lapse and Slow-Mo. The rear camera of the phone also supports portrait and beauty mode.
Talking about the other rear camera of the phone, it has an 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera, whose sensor has been given f2.2. Apart from this, two other cameras have also been provided, in which a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel micro sensor have been given. The depth sensor of the phone has an f2.4 aperture, while the microsensor also has an f2.4 aperture.
With the rear camera of the phone, you can capture 4K quality video at 30fps. Slow-motion video recording is also provided in the phone. I am quite impressed with the rear camera of the phone, the rear camera of the phone can click the picture of the best capture especially in low light. Artificial intelligence has been used in this for a photo taken in the dark, which enhances the picture.
Talking about the phone’s selfie camera, it has a 16-megapixel pop-up camera. You can also shoot high-quality HD video from the phone’s front camera. Social media lovers will love their selfie cameras. Beauty modes equipped with artificial intelligence have also been provided in the phone’s selfie camera. Talking about the pop-up mechanism used in the phone’s selfie camera, its pop-up camera has been given free-fall detection. That is, even if this smartphone accidentally falls from your phone, its pop-up mechanism will automatically close it.
